Backend Engineer – FinTech (Lahore/Karachi)

About the role

NsavenSave is a London‑based fintech building a global platform for financially excluded users. As a Backend Engineer you will design, develop and scale the core infrastructure that powers trusted USD accounts, global payments and investment services for tens of thousands of users across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and own critical backend subsystems, including service architecture, reliability, build & release pipelines, and integration with compliance and banking services.
• Identify weak spots in the codebase and infrastructure, prioritize fixes and proactively improve system health.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and operations teams to ship new features for multiple markets.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality and process improvements as the platform scales.

Required profile

• Strong engineering fundamentals with solid knowledge of clean architecture, layered abstractions and complexity trade‑offs.
• Broad platform knowledge across backend architecture, databases, site reliability, infrastructure as code and CI/CD.
• Security‑mindset capable of designing robust financial systems that meet high compliance requirements.
• Business‑oriented decision making, balancing speed with quality.

Required skills

• Backend development experience in languages and frameworks suitable for scalable financial systems.
• Experience with service architecture, reliability engineering and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of security and compliance integration for fintech applications.
