Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO)

About the role

Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) to lead HR strategy, governance, talent management, organizational effectiveness, and people transformation across a large-scale workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Oversee HR policies, governance, compliance, and employee relations.
• Lead talent acquisition, employer branding, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Drive performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
• Develop academic workforce strategies and teacher retention initiatives.
• Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll governance, and employee engagement.
• Lead HR digital transformation, HRMS optimization, and workforce analytics.
• Advise the Board of Directors and executive leadership on strategic HR matters.

Required profile

• Master's degree in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 25 years of progressive professional experience, including 15 years in executive leadership roles.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed workforces exceeding 6,000 employees.
• Proven experience working with Boards, CEOs, and executive leadership teams.
• Strong expertise in HR governance, organizational transformation, and HR modernization.
• Experience in Education, FMCG, Retail Services, or similar large-scale organizations is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications in coaching, psychometrics, competency‑based assessments, and leadership development are a plus.
