Civil Design Engineer – Structural Projects

About the role

DAR Engineering is looking for an experienced Civil Design Engineer to lead structural design work on a variety of building projects, including healthcare, residential, office, hospitality and entertainment facilities. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality designs from the pre‑concept stage through to IFC, ensuring compliance with local and international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed structural designs and calculations for low, mid‑rise and high‑rise buildings.
• Estimate construction costs and material quantities based on design outputs.
• Review and guide the preparation of structural drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of experience in concrete structural design and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of SBC, ACI, IBC, ASCE and SASO standards.
• Excellent English communication skills for presentations and documentation.
