Cybersecurity Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join a leading information services firm on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities across networks, web applications, and APIs to strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive manual and automated penetration tests on network, web, and API assets.
• Run vulnerability scans, analyze results, and prioritize security weaknesses.
• Develop custom exploits and simulate real‑world attack scenarios.
• Document findings in detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Work closely with engineering and security teams to verify fixes and track remediation progress.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and security assessments.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret technical data and communicate results clearly.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
• Understanding of network protocols, Windows and Linux operating systems, and cloud security concepts.
