Design Coordinator – Architectural Drafting

About the role

The Design Coordinator will work closely with architects, engineers and project stakeholders to develop, refine and document design concepts for commercial and residential projects. This role ensures that design intent is accurately translated into detailed drawings and construction documents.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects and engineers to create and improve design concepts.
• Produce precise architectural drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and consultants to maintain design integrity and compliance.
• Assist in preparing construction documents, specifications and material analyses.
• Review building codes and integrate them into designs.
• Manage multiple project timelines to meet deadlines and milestones.
• Provide technical support during construction to resolve design issues.
• Conduct site visits to verify that plans match actual site conditions.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in architectural design or drafting on commercial or residential projects.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, construction processes and building codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage several projects independently.
