Electrical Design Engineer – R&D (Energy Meters)

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our R&D team at Accurate Pvt, Ltd’s factory in Sundar Estates. The role focuses on testing, validating and improving digital energy meters to meet national (WAPDA) and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform functional, environmental, accuracy, mechanical and electrical tests on energy meters according to WAPDA, IEC and ANSI specifications.
• Validate firmware and hardware performance throughout product development cycles.
• Collaborate with design and development teams to identify issues, propose solutions and support the transition from prototype to production.
• Document test results, prepare technical reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Operate and maintain lab equipment such as reference meters, test benches, oscilloscopes, power analyzers and environmental chambers.
• Liaise with firmware, hardware, quality and production teams to resolve technical problems and support field troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 1‑2 years of experience in electrical testing, metering or related R&D activities.
• Strong understanding of electrical measurements, power systems and metering standards (WAPDA, IEC, ANSI).

Required skills

• Electrical measurements and power system analysis.
• Knowledge of WAPDA, IEC and ANSI metering standards.
• Hands‑on use of multimeters, oscilloscopes, power analyzers and environmental chambers.
• Data analysis and technical report writing.
