Financial Crime Investigation & Reporting Officer

About the role

ACE Money Transfer, a UK-based fintech providing online remittance services, is looking for a diligent, analytical Financial Crime Investigation & Reporting Officer to help protect its business and customers from money laundering, terrorist financing and other financial crime. The role sits in the Compliance department and covers investigating suspicious activity, preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) for the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and guiding internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and investigate suspicious transactions and activity across the organisation
• Receive, review and respond to internal SARs submitted by business units, carry out initial investigations and escalate cases where needed
• Prepare and submit SARs to the FIU accurately and on time, giving it any additional information it needs
• Ensure all SAR submissions comply with AML and CTF laws and regulations
• Advise internal stakeholders on when and how to raise SARs, based on investigation findings
• Keep audit-ready records of SAR submissions and prepare regular SAR activity reports for senior management
• Stay up to date with regulatory changes, financial crime trends and best practice in SAR reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law or a related field
• Previous experience in a similar AML, financial crime or investigations role is preferred
• Understanding of AML/CTF regulations, suspicious activity indicators and SAR reporting is an advantage
• Attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication, teamwork and integrity and discretion

The position is onsite in Lahore / Kharian, Pakistan, within the Compliance - Financial Crime department, with working hours from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PKT.
