Imports Lead – End‑to‑End Import Operations Manager

About the role

The Imports Lead will manage end‑to‑end import operations, ensuring compliance with company policies while driving cost‑smart initiatives. Reporting to the Manager Procurement Pakistan, this on‑site role coordinates with vendors, banks, government bodies and internal teams to support timely international trade.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all import activities: QEM preparation, supplier sourcing, customs clearance, LC opening, and advance payments.
• Improve logistics performance (OTIF) by optimizing international and local shipment processes.
• Review purchase requisitions, issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and negotiate to achieve maximum savings.
• Manage purchase orders, conduct landed‑cost analyses, and ensure accurate import documentation.
• Enter and reconcile all import‑related expenses, coordinating with banks for timely financial instrument clearance.
• Close import cases formally, aligning supply chain, finance, logistics and vendors.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement process optimizations.
• Register and evaluate new suppliers to maintain a competitive sourcing base.

Required profile

• Proven experience in import operations, procurement or international logistics.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost reduction.
• Excellent coordination abilities across multiple stakeholders.
• Detail‑oriented with a solid understanding of compliance requirements.
