Junior Accountant (Full-Cycle)

About the role

Sapere is seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team. You will support the full accounting cycle, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting while collaborating with senior staff and external auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting processes, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month‑end/year‑end close.
• Perform bookkeeping duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll entries.
• Prepare accurate financial statements including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory reporting.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Support tax filings and other regulatory requirements as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Masters, ACCA, CA Inter preferred).
• 1‑2 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience preparing financial statements and working with external auditors.
• Strong understanding of GAAP or applicable accounting standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Caseware.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP (or local accounting standards).
