Project Judicial and ADR Specialist

About the role

The Project Judicial and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Specialist will provide technical support to strengthen judicial reform, access to justice and mediation initiatives within UNDP’s Rule of Law Programme in Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, planning and implementation of interventions related to judicial reform, capacity development, case‑flow management, digital justice and ADR.
• Provide policy and technical advice to justice‑sector institutions on improving procedures, institutional arrangements and service delivery.
• Support the development of training modules, curricula and learning materials for judicial academies and ADR institutions.
• Ensure interventions incorporate gender‑responsive, people‑centred and inclusive approaches, especially for women and vulnerable groups.
• Maintain effective engagement with High Courts, district judiciary, bar councils, ADR bodies and relevant government departments.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in judicial reform, access‑to‑justice programmes or ADR mechanisms.
• Strong knowledge of gender‑responsive and survivor‑centred justice principles.
• Proven ability to produce technical documents such as policy briefs, guidelines and training curricula.
• Experience working with government, judiciary and civil‑society stakeholders in a development context.
