Project Officer – Private Sector Development & Investments

About the role

The European Union Delegation in Islamabad is seeking a Project Officer to support private‑sector development and investment initiatives. The role will be based in Islamabad and will contribute to the Delegation’s cooperation agenda, focusing on economic growth and the implementation of EU‑funded programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of ongoing projects related to private‑sector development, investment promotion and economic growth.
• Support the design, preparation and rollout of new interventions aligned with the EU Global Gateway strategy.
• Prepare project documentation, reports and performance indicators for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Head of the Rural Development and Economic Growth section and other team members to ensure timely delivery of results.
• Maintain liaison with Pakistani authorities, EU Member State embassies and development partners.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, business administration, international development or a related field.
• Relevant experience in project coordination or monitoring within development cooperation or investment programmes.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with ability to work in a multicultural environment.
