Robotics Researcher – Autonomous Navigation (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Robotics Researcher to advance autonomous navigation systems for industrial robotic platforms. The position is fully remote and involves full‑time, permanent work on cutting‑edge perception, planning and control algorithms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement perception algorithms for multi‑modal sensor integration in dynamic environments.
• Develop and optimise path‑planning and motion‑control systems for robotic manipulators and mobile platforms.
• Lead experimental validation in simulation (e.g., Gazebo) and real‑world deployments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to transition research prototypes into production‑grade systems.
• Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed conferences and journals.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on robotics research experience focused on autonomy or manipulation.
• Strong publication record and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C++ and Python.
• Expertise in SLAM, sensor fusion and reinforcement learning for robotics.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and simulation tools such as Gazebo.
