Senior Accountant - Property Management Trust Accounting

About the role

This role oversees client portfolios, supervises bookkeeping teams, ensures trust accounting compliance and manages client relationships. It plays a key part in driving efficiency and quality across the entity's operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee bookkeeping and trust accounting for multiple property management clients (STR & LTR)
• Review and finalise reconciliations, journal entries and reports prepared by juniors and mid-level bookkeepers
• Handle complex transactions, clearing account issues, accruals and adjustments
• Lead client communications, covering reporting requirements, queries and escalations
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate junior and bookkeepers, giving feedback and training
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, trust accounting rules and client contracts
• Drive process improvements, develop SOPs and support system integrations (QBO, Get Clearing, VR Platform)
• Provide financial insights and advanced reporting to clients, and work with management on scaling operations and workflow automation

Required profile

• ACCA qualified, CA qualified or finalist strongly preferred
• 4-6+ years of progressive bookkeeping/accounting experience, including supervisory exposure
• Strong expertise in trust accounting and U.S. property management practices
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving and client relationship management skills
• Able to manage multiple portfolios and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online
• Working experience with U.S. payment processing, expense management and document processing software
