Senior Backend Developer

About the role

As a Senior Backend Developer at PakWheels.com you will design and build scalable, high‑performance systems that power the platform’s core services. You will work within an agile, cross‑functional team and help shape the technical direction of the product.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and document scalable solutions.
• Write secure, maintainable code that provides real‑time visibility into the company’s assets.
• Develop and maintain API interfaces for internal and external applications.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and debugging tools to ensure system health.
• Manage and optimise the AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the engineering organisation.

Required profile

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven experience building product infrastructure, distributed systems, and data models.

Required skills

• Ruby on Rails, Go, or Java.
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure or private clouds.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable architecture.
