Software Engineer II

About the role

The Software Engineer II will work on well‑defined features or sub‑systems within NCR Atleos’ product roadmap. Operating with minimal supervision, the engineer will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of high‑quality software solutions for financial institutions and retailers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client‑server/n‑tier applications using .NET technologies.
• Design, implement, and consume RESTful services and XML Web Services.
• Write and optimise SQL queries for Oracle, SQL Server or other RDBMS.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs.
• Review code, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure quality by adhering to testing standards and eliminating critical defects.
• Participate in version control activities using Git, BitBucket or similar tools.
• Provide technical guidance and support for distributed architecture, Hadoop, and TLS 1.2 implementations.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines and travel on international assignments if required.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging skills.
