Strategic Pricing Lead (Karachi, Pakistan)

About the role

As the Strategic Pricing Lead for Kerry’s Pakistan sub‑region, you will drive the implementation of the regional pricing and margin management strategy to maximise returns on the company’s food‑and‑nutrition portfolio. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner and based in Karachi, you will work closely with commercial sales teams to align pricing decisions with market conditions and corporate objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and control pricing team ways of working, including processes, decision points, escalation criteria and execution standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to support customer engagement and capture external insights such as competitor activity, market movements and commodity trends.
• Ensure pricing models and decisions comply with Pakistan’s accounting standards, statutory reporting rules and taxation framework (income tax, sales tax, withholding tax, provincial taxes).
• Partner with commercial sales to review key account performance, influence new‑business decisions and identify product and market opportunities.
• Design pricing strategies for new product launches, strategic push initiatives and technology‑driven projects.
• Execute the annual pricing process for the territory and mentor the APMEA Pricing Centre of Excellence on costing of new products, plants and processes.
• Manage rebate agreements, accruals and related journal entries.
• Produce a clear weekly flash report to monitor market performance.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Pakistan’s accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements.
• Deep understanding of the local taxation framework, including income, sales, withholding and provincial taxes.
• Experience partnering with commercial sales teams and influencing pricing decisions.
• Ability to analyse external market data and incorporate insights into pricing transactions.
• Proven capability to lead pricing processes and mentor cross‑regional pricing centres of excellence.
