Structural Design Engineer (Truss)

About the role

Value Engineering Pakistan, a privately owned consulting, construction and management firm in the built environment, is hiring a Structural Design Engineer (Truss) for a full-time, on-site position in Lahore. The engineer designs and analyzes truss and related structural systems for building projects, working closely with civil engineers, architects and construction teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyze truss and related structural systems for building projects
• Perform structural calculations and develop detailed design drawings and models
• Review design specifications and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
• Coordinate with civil engineers, architects and construction teams to resolve design issues
• Prepare technical reports and take part in design reviews
• Provide on-site support during construction when needed

Required profile

• Solid foundation in Civil Engineering to work with multidisciplinary teams
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution (preferred)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills, with attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork, able to collaborate on site with construction and design professionals
• Relevant experience in structural design of trusses or similar systems is highly beneficial

Required skills

• Structural analysis and structural engineering for truss and building design
• CAD, including AutoCAD, for accurate structural drawings and models
• Familiarity with building codes, standards and materials used in structural and truss systems
