Telesales Representative

About the role

Sherpa Pay is expanding its operations across North America and is looking for motivated telesales professionals to work with one of its newest clients. You will call high-intent paid digital leads and convert them into customers for payment processing services, value-added solutions and related offerings. The company promotes from within, with a fast track to team manager roles within 6 months.

Key responsibilities

• Contact and engage inbound, high-intent leads generated through paid digital channels, focusing on speed to lead and conversion.
• Convert leads into closed sales through consultative, phone-based selling.
• Sell a range of payment products and services tailored to each prospect's business needs.
• Handle objections, negotiate pricing and terms, and close deals within the sales cycle.
• Follow up persistently and track all lead activity and outcomes accurately in the CRM.
• Meet and exceed conversion, activity and revenue targets.
• Stay informed on industry trends, competitive offerings and product developments to guide prospects.

Required profile

• Proven telesales, inside sales or business development experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Strong phone presence, with excellent communication, objection-handling and closing skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• A client-first mindset with a consultative approach.
• Leadership potential and the drive to grow into a team management role.
• A degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is an asset; knowledge of the payments industry and pricing models is a strong asset.
