Account Executive

About the role

AltRider, a US‑based motorcycle accessories manufacturer, is looking for a remote accountant to manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping for its US and EU operations. The position is based in Pakistan and works closely with the Operations Manager in Lahore and the CEO in Seattle.

Key responsibilities

• Categorise bank and credit‑card transactions in QuickBooks Online twice weekly and flag unidentified items.
• Reconcile operating, reserve and clearing accounts monthly.
• Match payment‑gateway settlements (Shopify Payments, PayPal US/EU) against recorded sales.
• Complete month‑end close within ten days, providing a clear list of open items.
• Schedule international supplier wires and US vendor payments, sending confirmations.
• Maintain accounts receivable within due limits and reconcile supplier invoices line‑by‑line.
• Support year‑end close with adjusting journal entries, financial statements and CPA requests.
• Assist with quarterly and annual filings, including state excise returns derived from order‑level data.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
• Comfortable working with US and EU entities, multiple currencies and bank accounts.
• Ability to work remotely, overlapping with Seattle business hours.

• QuickBooks Online
• Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivots, advanced formulas)
• Shopify e‑commerce platform
• US GAAP accounting principles
• Gusto payroll system (nice to have)
• VAT handling in an EU context (nice to have)
