Accountant

About the role

Al Faizan Garments is expanding its finance team and is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to handle daily accounting operations, maintain accurate records and support management with timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily sales, purchases, receipts and payments using accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements, petty cash and supplier/vendor accounts.
• Process supplier invoices, verify documentation and manage timely payments.
• Handle customer receipts, maintain accounts receivable aging and follow up overdue balances.
• Prepare monthly trial balance, basic financial statements and assist with month‑end close.
• Calculate and file GST/sales tax, VAT (if applicable) and support yearly tax filings and audits.
• Maintain inventory accounting and coordinate stock reconciliations with the warehouse team.

Required profile

• Proven bookkeeping and accounting experience in retail, wholesale or apparel sectors.
• Strong knowledge of double‑entry bookkeeping, ledgers and journal entries.
• Familiarity with Pakistan tax rules for sales tax/GST and statutory filings.
• Ability to meet monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines.
• Effective communication with suppliers, customers and internal teams.

Required skills

• QuickBooks, Tally or Zoho Books (or similar local accounting software).
• Microsoft Excel for reconciliations and reporting.
• Bank reconciliation, accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
• Inventory accounting basics.
• GST/sales tax and VAT calculation.
