Accounts Officer

About the role

We are looking for an organized Accounts Officer to support day‑to‑day accounting operations for project‑based and recurring client work. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work closely with production, client services and procurement teams to maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely payments.

Key responsibilities

• Record vouchers, receipts, payments and bank transactions, maintaining up‑to‑date accounting books.
• Prepare and reconcile supplier invoices, vendor payments and expense reimbursements.
• Reconcile bank statements, petty‑cash and client advance accounts, following up on discrepancies.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing, preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
• Support billing and accounts‑receivable processes, including invoice preparation, collection monitoring and overdue follow‑up.
• Coordinate with procurement and production to verify revenue recognition and project‑related accounting entries.

Required profile

• Proven bookkeeping experience with journal entries, ledgers, reconciliations and basic costing.
• Hands‑on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Tally.
• Strong knowledge of bank statement and petty‑cash reconciliation.
• Familiarity with VAT, sales tax and withholding procedures in Pakistan.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional coordination.
