Associate Software Engineer - Django Developer

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Django Developer to join SantaSoft’s team, building and maintaining RESTful APIs for financial software solutions. This position offers the chance to develop core backend components in a collaborative environment focused on banking and investment firm needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Django Rest Framework.
• Integrate APIs with relational databases such as SQL Server or Oracle, ensuring data consistency and performance.
• Write clean, reusable code and maintain comprehensive documentation for endpoints.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers to integrate APIs with user interfaces.
• Debug, optimise, and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn new tools and frameworks.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• Django framework (models, views, templates, ORM).
• Django Rest Framework for REST API development.
• SQL and experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Git version control.
• Basic unit testing and debugging.
• Familiarity with Docker, JWT, OAuth2 (optional).
