Audit Manager - Retail Audit

About the role

The Audit Manager – Retail Audit will lead the execution of the audit plan for retail banking units, ensuring compliance with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and Mashreq Bank policies. You will deliver high‑quality audit reports, validate action plans, and drive continuous improvement through technology and data analytics.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the audit plan for assigned retail businesses, adhering to internal audit standards and relevant regulations.
• Produce timely, high‑quality audit reports and validate internal audit action plans.
• Lead and mentor a small‑to‑medium team of internal audit professionals, managing assignments within budget.
• Develop strong relationships with senior line management and understand business risk environments.
• Identify, assess, and communicate risks, recommending corrective actions and monitoring closure of action items.
• Promote integrated auditing concepts, leveraging technology and data analytics.
• Ensure audit processes are objective, professional, and aligned with bank policies.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of internal audit standards, policies, and local regulations.
• Proven experience in risk assessment and managing audit engagements.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across senior internal audiences.
• Strong judgment, political astuteness, and cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to build effective relationships with senior line management.
