AVP – Lead, Automation & Platform Ownership

About the role

The Associate Vice President will lead the enterprise‑wide automation strategy and own the reconciliation platforms that process high‑volume transaction accounts. This role drives AI‑based enhancements, improves auto‑matching logic, and ensures resilient, scalable processes across Nostro, Sundry, Internal, VAT and other reconciliation types.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the automation roadmap for reconciliation systems, including AI platforms such as Cypher.
• Own platform performance, SLA thresholds, uptime and incident management.
• Enhance auto‑matching algorithms, reduce false breaks and manual interventions.
• Collaborate with Technology, Internal Controls, Finance and Operations to close platform gaps and onboard new account types.
• Lead UAT, workflow configuration and continuous improvement of matching rules, fuzzy logic and NLP models.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in banking operations or technology, with a focus on reconciliation automation.
• Proven ability to analyse break trends, drive strategic process change and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, with experience in systems integration.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of reconciliation platforms such as TLM and Cypher.
• Experience implementing AI‑based logic, fuzzy logic, NLP and pattern‑recognition models.
• Proficiency with data‑governance tools, trend analysis and AI model validation.
• Expertise in platform workflow configuration and user‑acceptance testing.
