Backend Engineer (Node.js)

About the role

We are seeking experienced professionals with a passion for excellence to design, implement, and maintain backend systems. You will drive software change and release management, contribute to the maturity of the software development lifecycle, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop server‑side logic using Node.js, handling requests, processing data, and generating responses.
• Design and build scalable applications capable of handling high traffic and large data volumes.
• Create robust RESTful APIs for integration with other services.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, and stakeholders to meet project requirements.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable code and perform thorough testing.
• Manage databases, write optimized queries, and ensure secure data storage.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and continuously improve skills.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on backend development experience with JavaScript frameworks (Node.js, Express.js, NestJS).
• Strong knowledge of REST web services/APIs.
• Solid database expertise, including SQL and query optimization.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience with source control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as Mocha or Jest.
• Demonstrated ability to write scalable and optimized code.
