About the role

We are seeking a Backend Software Developer to join a global technology leader on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to scalable, high‑impact software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using modern coding standards.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that meets architectural guidelines.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define requirements and deliver features.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and help shape architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and a self‑starter attitude for remote work.
• Excellent communication skills to work across time zones.
• Ability to manage time effectively and deliver quality results independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with relevant software development frameworks and libraries.
• Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of debugging tools and best‑practice development methodologies.
