Backend Software Engineer - Python & Django

About the role

Devsinc is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend applications and cloud‑native services. The role focuses on building scalable, secure, and enterprise‑grade solutions using Python and modern web frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain production‑grade backend applications with Python, Django/Django REST Framework, FastAPI or Flask.
• Build secure, scalable RESTful APIs, micro‑services and distributed backend services.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, including service boundaries, database selection, caching and asynchronous processing.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Develop containerised applications and CI/CD pipelines using Docker and tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
• Design and optimise relational and NoSQL databases, queries, caching strategies and data‑access layers.
• Implement background processing and event‑driven workflows with Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar technologies.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and scalability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
• Strong expertise in Django and Django REST Framework; familiarity with FastAPI or Flask is a plus.
• Proven experience delivering production‑grade backend applications and RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of micro‑services architecture, API design and secure application development.
