Bookkeeper (Remote)

About the role

Edge is launching a Finance vertical and seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to join its global talent network. This fully remote, full‑time position supports North American clients while being based in Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Perform regular bank, credit‑card, and vendor reconciliations.
• Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate income and expense categorisation.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and trial balances.
• Manage payroll processing and related journal entries.
• Track fixed assets, handle invoices, and follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Support senior accountants during month‑end close and audit preparation.
• Maintain clean document trails and ensure compliance with internal financial procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2–4 years of hands‑on bookkeeping or general accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and US GAAP fundamentals.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
