Cybersecurity Instructor – SOC & Blue Team (12‑week program)

About the role

Edversity is seeking a hands‑on Cybersecurity Instructor to lead its 12‑week Cybersecurity Analyst Program. The role focuses on teaching entry‑level SOC and blue‑team skills through live sessions, practical labs, and portfolio‑building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver three 2‑hour live, hands‑on sessions per week for a 12‑week cohort.
• Design and run labs covering SIEM, log analysis, incident response, threat detection, web, cloud and security monitoring.
• Review weekly lab submissions, quizzes and reports, providing constructive feedback.
• Guide learners in creating portfolio‑ready work such as GitHub repositories, TryHackMe/HackTheBox profiles and capstone projects.
• Support students with mock interviews, job‑readiness coaching and career guidance.
• Keep curriculum up‑to‑date with evolving tools, threats and industry expectations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in a defensive or operational cybersecurity role (SOC Analyst, Security Engineer, Incident Responder, Blue‑Team Analyst, etc.).
• Proven ability to teach practical, tool‑based security concepts to beginners.
• Strong communication skills and a mentorship mindset.
