Cybersecurity Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join a leading information services firm on a contract basis. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while performing penetration testing and security assessments for critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application, and API penetration testing.
• Execute vulnerability scans, analyze results, and identify security weaknesses.
• Develop and run custom exploits to validate risks and simulate real‑world attack scenarios.
• Prepare detailed reports that document vulnerabilities, exploitation steps, and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage findings and verify remediation efforts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong analytical abilities with clear technical communication skills.
• Familiarity with network protocols, Windows and Linux operating systems, and cloud security principles.
