Cybersecurity Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a remote Cybersecurity Specialist to conduct penetration testing for a global leader in the information services industry. The contractor will identify and exploit vulnerabilities in systems, networks, web applications and APIs, and provide clear remediation guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application, and API penetration testing.
• Execute vulnerability scans, analyze results, and pinpoint security weaknesses.
• Develop and run custom exploits to validate risks and simulate real‑world attack scenarios.
• Prepare detailed reports that document findings, exploitation steps, and mitigation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage findings and verify remediation efforts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux) and cloud security principles.
• Excellent analytical abilities and clear communication of technical data.
