Data Infrastructure Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for a global leader in software development. This full‑time remote position offers the chance to work with cross‑functional teams and deliver high‑quality data solutions that drive business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines for large datasets.
• Implement and maintain data warehouses and data lakes for analytical and operational reporting.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accessibility, integrity, and usability.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability and efficiency.
• Document data architecture, processes, and standards for compliance and team reference.

Required profile

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands‑on experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow, Spark, or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of data modelling and warehouse design principles.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a focus on scalability and performance.
