Departmental Head – Electrical (AVP/VP)

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan is seeking a senior professional to lead its Electrical Department as an AVP/VP. Based in Islamabad, the role oversees all electrical projects, maintenance, and procurement across the bank’s network.

Key responsibilities

• Review and submit requests for proposals (RFPs) for electrical work, equipment repair, renovation, and construction projects.
• Lead and guide the electrical department team to achieve project targets.
• Ensure project budgets and timelines are strictly adhered to.
• Monitor procurement and bidding processes, ensuring compliance with bank guidelines and PPRA regulations.
• Oversee timely delivery and completion of projects according to scope, specifications, and quality standards.
• Manage operations and maintenance of generators, UPS, distribution boards, solar systems, and related assets across offices and branches.
• Verify vendor invoices and payments for electrical work.
• Coordinate with other engineering teams and end‑users to resolve electrical issues at head office, regional offices, and branches.
• Perform any additional assignments as directed by supervisors.

Required profile

• Minimum B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical/Electronics from a recognized university; a Master’s degree or relevant certifications are preferred.
• At least 6 years of relevant experience; banking or financial sector experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of project estimation, billing, and execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective time‑management and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
