Domain Portfolio Lead – Testing Center of Excellence

About the role

The Transformation Office is establishing Mashreq’s Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE) to provide a unified quality‑assurance hub across retail, digital, corporate, investment banking and regulatory domains. The Domain Portfolio Lead will drive the replication of TCOE processes, implement test KPIs, metrics and dashboards, and ensure consistent QA delivery across the assigned portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, optimise and manage the QA function for the portfolio in line with Mashreq QA Policy and TCOE framework.
• Implement standardised testing methodologies, tools, processes and templates across all projects.
• Align QA strategy with business goals, IT objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead governance, policy adoption and best‑practice implementation for the portfolio.
• Collaborate with Central Process Governance, Technical Lead, Transformation Office and Change Executors to ensure compliance and visibility.
• Tailor QA practices to domain‑specific needs such as Digital Banking and Retail Banking.
• Work with product owners, business stakeholders and users to drive effective test planning and execution.
• Monitor testing projects, report QA performance, and present insights to portfolio stakeholders and the Head of TCOE.
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to continuous enhancement of testing practices.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading QA functions within a large, regulated financial institution.
• Strong understanding of testing governance, metrics and KPI‑driven quality management.
• Ability to work autonomously while supporting multiple teams, systems and products.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Test automation mindset and experience with performance testing.
• Knowledge of data‑driven testing strategies.
• Familiarity with QA metrics, defect trend analysis and coverage reporting.
