Excel Specialist – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excel Specialist to join a leading financial services organization on a contract basis. The role is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining sophisticated financial models, automating reporting, and ensuring data integrity across the company’s financial systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex Excel financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
• Create automated reporting solutions using VBA macros and Power Query to streamline manual processes.
• Validate, cleanse, and reconcile financial data to guarantee accuracy and consistency.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to translate business requirements into functional spreadsheet solutions.
• Document formulas, assumptions, and processes to ensure reproducibility and transparency.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
• Proven experience writing and debugging VBA macros.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling principles.
• Ability to interpret business needs and deliver accurate spreadsheet solutions.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy.
