Excel Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excel Specialist to join a leading financial services firm on a contract basis. Working remotely, you will design, build, and maintain sophisticated financial models and automated reporting solutions that support critical business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex Excel financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
• Create automated reporting tools using VBA macros and Power Query to minimize manual effort.
• Validate, cleanse, and ensure the integrity of financial data across multiple datasets.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to translate business requirements into functional spreadsheet solutions.
• Document formulas, processes, and assumptions for reproducibility and transparency.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
• Proven experience writing and debugging VBA macros.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling principles.
• Ability to interpret business needs and deliver accurate spreadsheet solutions.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
