Expert Legal Counsel

About the role

Provide practical, timely legal support to JazzCash’s business teams, enabling product development, partnerships and daily operations while managing legal risk. The role covers commercial contracts, advisory, dispute handling and regulatory and corporate matters for the non‑banking finance company.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as technology, vendor, service, distribution and partnership contracts.
• Identify material legal and commercial risks and propose proportionate protections.
• Collaborate with business units from initial discussion through signing and maintain contract templates and checklists.
• Advise on day‑to‑day legal questions, product reviews, terms and conditions, marketing materials and fintech offerings including payments, digital lending, BNPL and insurance.
• Research applicable laws and regulations, assess business impact and flag issues requiring specialist input.
• Assess disputes, legal notices and claims, draft responses, coordinate with external counsel and support court proceedings.
• Assist senior legal counsel with regulatory correspondence, submissions and approvals.

Required profile

• Law degree with strong academic credentials.
• Sound judgment and ability to take ownership of legal matters.
• Capacity to understand business objectives, ask pertinent questions and propose workable solutions.
• Experience in commercial contracts, regulatory compliance and dispute management, preferably in fintech or financial services.
