GEO & AEO Specialist – AI Search Optimization

About the role

F5 Global Talent is seeking a hands‑on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) specialist to boost the company’s presence in AI‑driven search and answer platforms such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI. The role combines off‑site AI visibility work with on‑site retrieval optimisation, and reports directly to the CEO.

Key responsibilities

• Increase F5 citations and visibility across major AI assistants.
• Secure third‑party mentions in publications, directories, review platforms and community sites that AI systems draw from.
• Enhance Google AI Overviews and AI Mode presence and establish a baseline for AI visibility.
• Restructure website content into clear answer passages, improving headings, entities, internal linking and structured data.
• Audit AI crawler access, robots.txt, WAF settings, indexability and snippet controls.
• Identify and track relevant prompts and commercial questions.
• Build measurement frameworks to capture what users ask, which platform answers, and where F5 appears.
• Run controlled experiments to isolate causation from correlation and report weekly on movements and next tests.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience with GEO/AI search visibility and measurable before‑and‑after results on at least one major AI platform.
• Track record of personally securing third‑party citations, placements or community visibility.
• Ability to explain specific changes made, not just recommendations.
• Strong analytical discipline, experimentation mindset and sound judgment on platform and brand risk.
• Excellent written English and availability to work overlapping U.S. Eastern Time hours.
