Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will join ACE Money Transfer's Internal Audit and Assurance Department in Lahore, supporting risk‑based audit assignments across the Group’s portfolio of entities. Working under the Group Manager, Internal Audit, the role involves executing audit work programs, documenting findings, and contributing to audit reports in line with IIA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute audit work programs and procedures as assigned, following the approved annual audit plan.
• Develop audit checklists and testing scripts for specific audit sections.
• Conduct fieldwork, including walkthroughs, document reviews, and physical verifications.
• Collect, analyse, and document audit evidence to support findings and conclusions.
• Perform data analysis using Excel to test transaction populations and identify anomalies.
• Prepare clear, well‑referenced working papers and draft sections of audit reports.
• Carry out follow‑up reviews to verify implementation of management action plans.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to independence and objectivity requirements.
• Stay aware of relevant regulatory requirements, including AML/CFT and procurement policies.

Required profile

• Understanding of core internal audit concepts – risk, control, and assurance – and ability to apply them under supervision.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies and inconsistencies.
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and independence.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within the audit team and communicate findings effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and testing.
