Junior Quality Assurance Engineer – Telecom BSS

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team and support testing activities for telecom Business Support Systems (BSS). This entry‑level position offers the chance to work on Order Care, Product Catalogue and related applications, gaining hands‑on experience in functional, integration, regression and end‑to‑end testing.

Key responsibilities

• Review business and system requirements to understand expected functionality.
• Prepare, document and maintain test scenarios, test cases, test data and execution results.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity and end‑to‑end tests across BSS platforms.
• Validate customer journeys, product selection, order capture, fulfilment, activation, amendment and billing processes.
• Identify, document and track defects using the designated defect‑management tool and perform retests.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, architects and other stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Support User Acceptance Testing, release validation and production sanity checks.
• Maintain test evidence and produce clear execution and defect‑status reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or up to two years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of software development and testing life cycles.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps or HP ALM/Quality Center.
• Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
• Experience with API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI.
• Understanding of XML, JSON, REST and SOAP integrations.
