Junior Support Engineer – SAP Commerce (Hybris)

About the role

Abacus Consulting is seeking a Junior Support Engineer to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for the SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform across its offices in Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi. The role involves troubleshooting application issues, delivering first‑line resolutions, and supporting critical e‑commerce operations while collaborating closely with senior engineers and development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the Hybris type system, items.xml and ServiceLayer basics (models, DAOs, converters/populators).
• Write and execute Impex scripts, run FlexibleSearch queries, and navigate Backoffice and HAC.
• Work with core commerce modules – catalog, cart, checkout, WCMS, pricing and promotions – at a functional level.
• Log and triage tickets in ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira, follow ITIL incident and service‑request processes, respect SLA timers and execute documented runbooks before escalation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 1–3 years of application support experience, preferably supporting SAP Commerce (Hybris) environments.
• Basic understanding of SAP Commerce architecture and platform components.
