Lead Data Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer to design, develop, and manage scalable data platforms and pipelines that enable enterprise‑wide analytics and reporting. The role combines hands‑on development with technical leadership, ensuring data solutions meet performance, governance, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Lead data‑engineering initiatives, providing guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Optimize data processing, storage, and performance across cloud data lakes and warehouses.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure implementation of data governance, security, and quality controls.

Required profile

• 7‑8 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong background in ETL/ELT development and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in SQL and cloud‑based data platforms (data lakes, data warehouses).
• Hands‑on experience with at least one of: Informatica IDMC, Microsoft Fabric with Purview, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with data governance and data quality principles.
