Managing Director – Pakistan

About the role

WhiteBIT is seeking a Managing Director for Pakistan to lead its fintech and crypto operations in the country. The role will drive market entry, regulatory licensing, and business growth for a platform serving over 8 million users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of WhiteBIT’s success in the Pakistani market.
• Lead licensing negotiations with local regulatory bodies and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Act as the primary public face of WhiteBIT in Pakistan, managing relationships with investors, partners, and authorities.
• Develop and execute a robust business plan, budgeting and forecasting for regional growth.
• Build and lead a local team, recruiting talent and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Oversee AML/CFT, operational risk and governance frameworks for the local entity.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years experience in financial services, FinTech or payments.
• Established reputation and strong network within the Pakistani finance sector.
• Proven track record launching new products, services or market segments.
• Experience in a regulated environment in a senior management role (e.g., director, MLRO).
• History of working with European, US or UK investors and stakeholders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated senior‑level leadership.
• Clean fit‑and‑proper declaration and no criminal or regulatory sanctions.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of crypto and virtual asset ecosystems.
• Understanding of payment rails and B2B/B2C financial products.
• Expertise in AML/CFT and operational risk management.
• Experience with virtual asset management processes.
