Mechanical Project Manager

About the role

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a leading contractor for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing works, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead high‑rise building projects on site in Karachi. The role involves full‑cycle project delivery, from planning through handover, ensuring quality, safety and budget compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting, VRF, natural gas and other mechanical utility systems.
• Develop and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Control costs, budgeting, productivity and resource allocation.
• Manage multidisciplinary site teams, subcontractors and coordinate with consultants, architects and other disciplines.
• Oversee contract administration, BOQ, tender drawings, specifications and variation claims.
• Review and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs, method statements and as‑built documentation.
• Ensure QA/QC, testing & commissioning, snag rectification and project close‑out procedures.
• Implement HSE standards and safe working practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 13‑15 years of experience in MEP works, with at least 5‑7 years as a Project Manager on high‑rise projects.
• Proven ability to manage multiple work fronts and deliver projects on time.
• Immediate availability or short notice period preferred.
• PMP certification is an added advantage.

Required skills

• HVAC, plumbing, fire‑fighting, VRF, natural gas, mechanical utility systems.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA and SMACNA standards.
• Primavera P6, MS Project, cost control, budgeting, productivity monitoring.
• Subcontractor management, design coordination, shop‑drawing review.
• QA/QC, testing & commissioning, HSE compliance.
• ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite.
