Medical Scheduling Coordinator

About the role

EDGE is seeking a Medical Scheduling Coordinator to support US‑based healthcare providers remotely. The role involves managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a smooth scheduling experience while adhering to US healthcare protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments according to provider availability and clinic protocols.
• Maintain and optimize provider calendars, protected time blocks, and appointment templates.
• Register new patients and update demographics, insurance, and appointment details in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Verify completion of required forms and documentation before each visit.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, send confirmations, reminders, and follow‑up messages via phone, email, patient portal, or text.
• Route patient inquiries to the appropriate clinical or administrative teams.
• Monitor waitlists and proactively fill cancellations based on urgency and availability.

Required profile

• Must reside in Lahore or Islamabad.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
• Tech‑savvy with the ability to learn and use healthcare software quickly.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and staff.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced remote environment.

Required skills

• Electronic Health Record (EHR) system proficiency.
