Mental Health Counselor

About the role

SINA is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Counselor to provide basic counseling services to community members. The position is contractual and remote, with the successful candidate receiving a seven‑day training program before being placed at a SINA clinic.

Key responsibilities

• Provide basic mental health counseling, support, and guidance to community members.
• Conduct initial mental health assessments and identify individuals needing further support.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions and organize mental health awareness activities.
• Make appropriate referrals and follow‑ups for individuals requiring specialized care.
• Maintain confidential records and collaborate with healthcare and community teams.

Required profile

• Intermediate or Bachelor degree.
• Experience in social work, counseling, or mental health settings preferred.
• Basic understanding of mental health concepts and community dynamics.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary settings.
• Problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Compassionate, empathetic, community‑focused approach.
• Female candidates preferred.
