Network Engineer

About the role

Ibex. is seeking a Network Engineer with 3‑4 years of hands‑on experience in enterprise network environments. You will support a large‑scale infrastructure that spans data centers, disaster‑recovery sites, regional hubs and branch locations, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier‑1/2/3 troubleshooting and support for connectivity issues across data centers, DR sites, regional hubs and branches.
• Perform proactive monitoring of 1,000+ network devices using SolarWinds, PRTG and other NMS tools.
• Resolve hardware and software platform issues in complex, layered network infrastructures.
• Diagnose and fix routing, switching and VPN problems, including WAN and multi‑homing architectures.
• Manage wireless access controllers and access points.
• Operate in a 24x7 NOC shift environment following ITIL and change‑management processes.
• Participate in technical project management activities and present project updates to business sponsors.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of experience with WAN protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF) and LAN/WLAN technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco ISR/ASR routers and multi‑vendor next‑generation firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Strong understanding of packet flow, OSI model and TCP/IP fundamentals.
• Minimum BS degree in Computer/Electronics/Telecom and CCNA certification; CCNP preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to deliver project‑level presentations.
