Network Security Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer on a contract basis to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure for a global leader in IT services. The role is hybrid, allowing you to work remotely while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Monitor network traffic for anomalies and respond to security incidents in real time.
• Develop and enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to embed security best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in network security engineering or a similar role.
• Proven ability to work independently on contract assignments.

Required skills

• Firewalls and VPN configuration and management.
• Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS) and SIEM tools.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, and overall network infrastructure.
• Experience with penetration testing, threat analysis, and incident response.
