Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal to manage a full caseload of pre‑litigation and litigation matters from intake through resolution. The role involves direct interaction with attorneys, clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel to move cases forward efficiently while maintaining meticulous documentation and strict adherence to court deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload of 30–60 personal injury files, tracking status and next actions.
• Serve as primary day‑to‑day contact for clients, providing updates and setting realistic expectations.
• Conduct client intakes, obtain accident reports, witness statements, and photographs.
• Order, track, and summarize medical records, billing statements, and radiology films.
• Calculate and verify special damages, including medical expenses and lost wages.
• Draft letters of representation, preservation letters, and comprehensive demand packages.
• Prepare and file complaints, motions, and discovery responses; organize document productions and privilege logs.
• Coordinate depositions, schedule court reporters, and prepare exhibit binders.
• Maintain litigation calendar with statutes of limitations, discovery cut‑offs, and trial dates.
• Assist with trial preparation, including witness lists, exhibit lists, and on‑site support.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a personal injury litigation paralegal.
• Ability to manage a high volume of files (30–60) with strong organizational skills.
• Empathetic communication style with injured clients.
• Deadline‑driven, proactive, and able to take ownership of cases.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management software.
• Experience using e‑filing systems in state and federal courts.
• Legal drafting of complaints, motions, and discovery documents.
