Physics Expert – Remote Contract

About the role

We are seeking a senior Physics Expert to join a leading research services firm on a contract basis. The position is fully remote and involves designing, executing and publishing high‑impact experiments in quantum mechanics, condensed‑matter physics or related areas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement experimental protocols in advanced physics domains.
• Analyse experimental data using statistical methods and computational tools.
• Prepare manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals and present findings at conferences.
• Mentor graduate students, post‑doctoral fellows and junior researchers.
• Write and submit competitive grant proposals to secure research funding.

Required profile

• PhD in Physics or a closely related discipline.
• At least five years of post‑doctoral or academic research experience.
• Strong publication record in reputable scientific journals.
• Proven experience leading research projects and supervising junior staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MATLAB.
• Proficiency with Python for data analysis.
• Experience with statistical analysis and computational modelling.
